World Toilet Day

The Samoa World Toilet Day issue was designed by Alison Dittko in conjunction with the Samoa Tourism Authority.

This issue was produced in an effort to help spread awareness about the constant need for sanitation improvements worldwide. The United Nations has declared November 19th of each year to mark "World Toilet Day," which is recognized and participated in many countries.

Each of the 4 stamps features different facts along the top and bottom of the design. The illustration of the garden toilet featured on each stamp is the rendering of the actual public rest room built in one of the villages of Samoa.

Stamp size is 39.56 x 51.46mm, Printed in sheets of 16 stamps.
